MEMORISE: And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD. Genesis 25:22

READ: Genesis 25:20-23
20 And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.
21 And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.
23 And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
MESSAGE:

Rebekah, the wife of Isaac, was temporarily barren and her husband had to intercede for her before God blessed her with the fruit of the womb. She was a Syrian woman who was brought up in her native country. She grew up to know the gods of Syria but was not familiar with the God of Abraham and Isaac. This may be the reason why the Bible did not record anything about her prayers to God but rather recorded the intervention of her husband Isaac who interceded for her. However, what transpired after this reveals that Rebekah later became knowledgeable about God, and she even showed signs of being very spiritual.

After Rebekah became pregnant, she noticed that the babies struggled together within her; they seemed to kick and jostle each other. Their movements prompted her worries and she sought out a prophet to explain the situation to her. Rebekah found herself in a dilemma that no human wisdom could explain. She therefore chose to seek for divine direction from the Lord. Note that this is the very first time the Bible talks about someone making enquiries from the Lord. We should learn two big lessons from Rebekah. We should learn to be sensitive to heavenly signals and seek the face of the living God whenever we need clarification on any matter. Many are in problems today because they were so complacent and carefree that they neglected the warning signals that God gave them until it was too late. Many today also seek for clarifications and directions from the wrong sources, and others patronise gods that cannot give any useful direction.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

Jesus is the Way, He is the Truth and He is the solution to all problems in life. Therefore, seek Jesus today; seek for the King of kings and the Lord or lords; seek for the only One who knows all things and can do all things, and He will give you direction. He will put an end to your confusion and misery. Jesus will quench your thirst and satisfy your hunger. Jesus will heal your broken heart and give you peace in all areas of your life. My friend, Jesus is the answer. Whatever you may be passing through, call upon His name today and your life will never be the same again.

Prayer Point: Jesus the Son of God, I believe in you. As I call upon your name today, please solve all my problems and give me peace.

The Flying “Wizard” Who Crash-landed At Kasoa

A man believed to be in his 70s, who claimed to.be a wizard, was on Wednesday found on the banks of the Okrudu River at Kaimebre, a settlement near the Kasoa New Market in the Central Region Ghana.

The man, who gave his name as Charles Atta, looked frail, pale and bore protruding bosoms like that of a teenage girl.

His body was smeared with mud from the bank of the river where he was found by two brothers, Liberty Obeng and Innocent Obeng, who claimed they found the strange man crying for help.

The two brothers told Daily Guide reporters that the self-acclaimed wizard confessed to them that he was in the company of colleagues, including a medical doctor and were flying to Cape Coast for a meeting when he was forced down.

According to him, they were flying over a church where an all-night vigil was being held when he crash- landed at Servant Kings International School.

“When we as ked him where he was coming from, Atta told us that he was from Akuapem Akropong but was flying to Cape Coast to attend a meeting for witches and wizards,” he said.

Charles also confessed that the two puffy protrusions on his chest were bosoms taken from his 16-year- old granddaughter and that he normally borrowed them for his night activities.

The two brothers said they were initially confused and bewildered by the weird sight of the man, and not knowing what to do him took him to Pink FM, a local radio station at Kasoa for help.

When the strange announcement was made on radio, hundreds of people besieged the premises of the radio station to see the suspected wizard.

Upon hearing the news, the Kasoa District Police dispatched a number of police personnel to the station to save the victim from being lynched.

Superintendent Samuel Tabril Punobyin told the paper that the police did not investigate spiritual matters and that the suspected wiz-ard could therefore not be charged.

He said the police would look for the family erf the man and hand him over to them. Charles Atta is still in the custody .of the Kasoa Police.

Sex Tears Couple Apart In Lagos

A 27-year-old woman, Mrs. Morufat Awinle, told an lgando Customary Court sitting in Lagos that after her husband, Musibau, stopped her from having more children, he insisted on having sex with her everyday.

The mother of three however informed the court that whenever she refused to have s*x with him, he would beat the hell out of her. She claimed that her husband lacked care for her and their children, adding that this forced her to relocate to her parents home. ”It was my mother that was responsible for the payment of the children’s school fees and other things”.

Morufat added that her husband sent their first born to his elder brother to avoid his responsibility of taking care of him, saying the brother could not take care of the child alongside his own children. But she pleaded that the court should not dissolve the marriage, because she still loved her husband.

In his submission, Musibau informed the court that he did not enjoy the marriage as, according to him, the wife denied him s*x often. ” Though l was the one that stopped her from having more children, it pained me whenever she denied me of s*x”. The petitioner added that despite the fact that they had lived together as husband and wife for eleven years, his wife did not give him peace of mind.

He alleged that his wife destroyed his property at will, and had no respect for members of his family.

Musibau urged the court to dissolve the marriage and grant him custody of the children.

The court president, Mr. Tajudeen Adewale, adjourned the case for further hearing

Not Tania! Wizkid Cozies Up With Mystery Girl In Atlanta

This comes weeks after another girl – Carolyn Ikpea – claimed the “Hallo At Your Boy” hit-maker was her man…

Where in the world is Tania Omotayo when her super star boyfriend, Wizkid, is having a drinking night with an obviously very sexy unidentified chick!?

The ‘Star Boy’ boss looked dapper in his dark look as he cozied up with a beautiful mystery lady in Atlanta last night.

Wizkid couldn’t resist but drop a post on his official Instagram page with a caption: “ATL nights!!”

But what’s most interesting is the fact that Wizzy had to create a double image of the chick… perhaps letting his millions of fans know – ‘the girl is mine’ or ‘she’s sexy’ as hell!

This picture comes weeks after another girl - Carolyn Ikpea -  claimed the “Halla at ur Boy” hit-maker was her man. Even giving details of their sexual escapades and mocking Tania on social media.

There’s been no comment from his current girlfriend and model, Tania, after this suggestive post but when she does, we will surely keep you posted.

Tell us what you think about this picture anyways.

Open Heavens 2014: Wednesday August27, daily devotion by Pastor E. A. Adeboye - Reward For Labour
TOPIC: REWARD FOR LABOUR [Wednesday August 27, 2014]

MEMORISE: And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat. Joshua 24:13

READ: Genesis 31:3-7
3 And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.
4 And Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field unto his flock,
5 And said unto them, I see your father's countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father hath been with me.
6 And ye know that with all my power I have served your father.
7 And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.
MESSAGE:

Jacob sojourned with Laban and laboured for him for several years. At first, his host was cheating him at every opportunity, and the years of his hard labour were almost in vain. Down the line, God had to intervene to enable Jacob eat the fruit of his labour. For a reader of this devotional, in every area that you have been deprived of your reward in the hands of your employers or contractors, the Lord will intervene on your behalf in Jesus’ name. It is evil when your sweat serves to increase the wealth of another man without you having any benefit to show for it. After God decided to bless Jacob to redeem the years of his labour under Laban, the sons of Laban and their father conspired against him, believing that he did not deserve the wealth he had earned. When God intervenes in your situation, you will become what the enemy did not think you could ever become. God’s intervention brings reward for labour. This can be manifested in God helping you to set up your own business or company after faithfully serving another for a reasonable length of time. Jacob ran Laban’s business as his own; he was faithful to tending the flocks and the business grew rapidly under his care. Jacob later recognised that although he had served Laban over the years, the man was not eager to grant him independence. May the Lord deliver you from the wisdom and power of those who don’t want you to become your best.

Reward for labour is obtained when the Lord delivers you from the hands of unfaithful business associates. Laban dealt fraudulently with Jacob; at several instances, he changed their business agreement just to make sure that Jacob lost out while he prospered. When the Lord chooses to reward your labour, He will not allow the plans of fraudsters against you to stand. Through fraud, there are many people who have lost their mouth-watering jobs innocently. Some people have been imprisoned for frauds they knew nothing about. Some people have lost millions and billions through fraud; this will never be your experience in Jesus' Name. Also, when the Lord chooses to reward your labour, He will not allow your sincere investment to go in vain. Jacob invested his time, skills and labour into the business between himself and Laban. Reward for your labour comes when God decides to judge between you and those using you for their own advantage. After over 200 years of hard labour in Egypt, God came down to deliver the children of Israel and He gave them a land where they would enjoy the abundance provided by others. May the Lord cause you to enter into an inheritance of rest in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Point: Father, grant me reward for all my labour and remember me for good in Jesus’ name.

[Must See] 5 Albums That Should Drop Before Christmas

P-Square and Don Jazzy in the studio working on Pspuare’s 6th studio album

2014 has been a remarkable year in the Nigerian entertainment industry with loads of remarkable events, several albums (the good, the bad, and the ugly) and numerous hit songs. But a couple more are still expected to drop before the year ends.

Thankfully, some artistes have promised to deliver much-awaited albums before year-end. Our correspondent gives you a list to work with.

Yemi Alade: All seems set for pop sensation Yemi Alade to drop her debut album titled ‘King Of Queens’. Her camp has revealed plans to drop the album worldwide in September 2014.

Skales: Come November 2014, Skales who has just been signed to Baseline Music will officially drop his 17 track debut album titled ‘Man Of the Year’.

Wizkid: Having pushed back the release of his sophomore album for years, Wizkid has decided not to wet our appetite and arouse our expectations anymore with elusive release dates. Rather his last word was a promise to drop the album before the year runs out.

P-Square: With legends like Jermaine Jackson and Don Jazzy already on the much talked about album, the amazing duo of Peter and Paul Okoye ‘P-Square’ have promised to deliver their 6th album before the year ends. Their last album was ‘Invasion’ released in 2011.

M.I: After a long silence from mainstream music, multiple award winning rapper Jude Abaga ‘M.I’ returned last week with a tune titled ‘King james’. A couple of singles and videos would follow, all towards the build up to the release of his ‘Chairman’ album before the year ends. His last album was ‘M.I 2’ released in 2010.

Everton Confirms The Signing Of Striker Samuel Eto’o [See Photo]

Everton have confimed the signing of striker Samuel Eto’o. The Cameroonian has signed a two-year deal at Goodison Park.

Former Chelsea and Barcelona striker, Samuel Eto’o has completed his move to Everton , Eto’o since he was released by Chelsea at the end of June, following a one-year spell at Stamford Bridge, has been without a club.

Eto’o held talks with Ajax and Liverpool, but Everton boss Roberto Martinez is the one who has secured the 33-year-old, who could potentially face Jose Mourinho’s men in Saturday’s late kick-off.

Chocolate City Disses Olamide And Others On Twitter!

Now that M.I Abaga is back on the music scene after almost five years of break, we imagine the panic attack this may have caused other rappers.

We all know M.I used to own the rap stage but after the break, other rappers like Olamide, Phyno sprang up and have been making waves.

That’s why M.I’s record label, Chocolate City threw a major diss at Olamide, Phyno and other major rappers, saying M.I is ready to give them a chase for their money.

That further buttresses the idea behind M.I’s rebound single, ‘King James’ where he reaffirms himself as the only king of Africa and Nigerian rap.

In a picture message posted on Instagram by Chocolate City, it reads; “Naija rappers be like…so M.I Abaga is back?…Chei! we are finished! #KingJames”

We wonder what Olamide and others think about this major diss right now…let the battle begin…we love this!
